Youth Camp Construction
The rainy season is not the best time to
install a roof in Zambia. As you can see from
the picture I got my truck stuck in the mud
several times. The good news is half of the
roof is finished. I also have the monies
available to finish the other dormitory. By the
end March the roofing project will be
complete. A big thank you to all of you that
have contributed toward the roof.
Our first youth camp at the property will be in
August this year. There is still plenty of work
to be done before then. Toilets, plumbing
and sewer pipes need to be installed. Eighty
bunk beds need to be made. Each bunk bed
will sleep four teens. If you can help with any
of these needs send your gift marked “Youth
Camp.”
Bunk bed including mattresses - $200.00
Toilet - $150.00, 14 needed
Plumbing & sewer pipes - $2,000.00
New Bible Study
Thompsom Mweawa graduated from our Bible
Institute last year and he is the care taker at
the youth camp property. The youth camp is
about six miles outside of Ndola so he and his
family are unable to travel to town to attend
church each Sunday. He started a Bible Study
that is meeting in one of the dorm rooms now
that the roof is installed. The last Sunday in
February Marcia and I attended there. There
were 25 in attendance that day. I believe he
has had three saved in the last few months.
